The Adtran Mosaic Network Controller (MNC) is a real-time, GIS-based fiber network surveillance solution that gives operators centralized visibility of their physical fiber infrastructure. By integrating Mosaic Fiber Director at the RTU level with MNC at the server, operators can visualize fiber routes, network assets, and faults geographically, helping teams understand exactly where a network problem has occurred and respond faster.
Instead of relying only on optical distance information, MNC converts fiber monitoring data into real-world geographical coordinates, enabling precise fault localization on a map. Integrated OTDR trace visualization, street and satellite views and fiber route mapping give NOC (Network Operations Center) and maintenance teams better situational awareness, helping reduce fault investigation time and operational delays.
Built-in notifications through email, SMS or third-party systems ensure that the appropriate teams are informed when network events occur. The platform also improves long-term fiber asset management by providing accurate GIS-based documentation and visualization, supporting more efficient maintenance and network planning.
Supporting PON, point-to-point, DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing), mobile fronthaul/backhaul and dark fiber applications, MNC provides operators with a centralized platform for improving fiber network reliability, optimizing operational workflows and enhancing overall service availability.
