H-Level Liquid Level System
Sisgeo’s is a state-of-the-art instrument designed to provide long-term, highly accurate measurements of vertical displacements in civil, geotechnical, and structural engineering projects. Based on the principle of hydrostatic pressure, the system detects minute changes in elevation by measuring the pressure difference between a reference reservoir and one or more measurement points.
Unlike conventional instruments, the H-Level system operates in a closed hydraulic loop, which significantly reduces errors due to evaporation, air bubbles, or temperature fluctuations. Its design allows for long-distance monitoring—spanning hundreds of meters—while maintaining a high degree of resolution and stability over time.
The system is available in digital and analogue configurations to suit a variety of project needs. The digital version supports Modbus RS-485 communication, enabling seamless integration with automatic data acquisition systems like Sisgeo’s OMNIAlog. It also includes internal diagnostics for temperature, humidity, and power supply conditions—enhancing reliability and maintenance forecasting.
Whether installed in tunnels, dams, high-rise buildings, bridges, or embankments, the H-Level system delivers accurate data that helps engineers detect differential settlements and heave—critical for preventing structural damage and ensuring long-term safety.
Typically, the user should select bill of materials based on deployment scenario:
- H-Level Transducer (Sensor Unit): Precision sensor for measuring liquid level difference at each monitoring point
- Reservoir Tank: Reference liquid tank with stable elevation
- Settling Vessel / Measuring Cell: Installed at each monitoring location for settlement/heave readings
- Hydraulic Tubing: Special liquid-filled tubing connecting reservoir to measurement points
- Vent Valves / Air Bleed Valves: For de-airing the system and ensuring hydraulic stability
- Support Brackets / Fixing Accessories: For securely mounting transducers and vessels to structures
- Data Logging Interface: This is the interface that allows the tiltmeter to connect with compatible data loggers for data collection and monitoring.
- MIND Portable Readout: A compact, multichannel readout unit for local readings of Sisgeo instruments.
- CRD-400 READOUT: CRD-400 is a new generation multipurpose readout designed to take readings of all instruments including vibrating wire.
- WR-Log Wireless Node: Wireless data transmission and remote monitoring through the node.
- OMNIAlog Datalogger: Centralized data collection for remote monitoring and analysis.
Applications of Electric Anchor Load Cells:
- Tunnels and Underground Structures– Monitoring vertical displacements along the tunnel alignment to detect convergence, settlement, or heave due to excavation, groundwater variation, or structural load.
- Buildings and High-Rise Structures– Measuring differential settlement in tall buildings or across foundations in areas with heterogeneous soil conditions.
- Bridges and Viaducts– Monitoring pier and abutment settlement, especially over soft ground or in seismic-prone areas.
- Railway and Highway Embankments– Observing settlement behaviour of embankments under traffic load and long-term consolidation.
- Bridge and Foundation Testing – Monitoring anchor loads in bridge abutments, deep foundations, and critical infrastructure.
- Dams and Embankments – Monitoring core or foundation settlement of embankment dams, particularly during filling or after seismic events.
- Industrial and Power Facilities - Tracking settlement beneath heavy machinery, storage tanks, or reactors in critical infrastructure like power plants or chemical facilities.
