KI 2800 Handheld Optical Light Source

The Kingfisher (Now a Tempo Company) KI 2800 Handheld Optical Light Source is used with optical power meters for testing optical loss on single mode and multimode fibers. A Multi-Fiber tone feature makes for handy continuity / polarity testing and identification, also for use with clip-on traffic identifiers.

The KI2800 source provides excellent general test capability. With zero warm up, ultrahigh stability, and is unaffected by varying back reflection and the multimode LED sources are Encircled Flux (EF) standards compliant, to provide the most consistent and reliable testing results.

The innovative and unique VisiTester option mixes a laser VFL with Autotest, so at the power meter end, the active test fiber winks, making it obvious to the user. It also extends practical fault-finding options.

Power output is displayed on device & can be used with a compatible kingfisher optical power meter for auto testing with automatic identification. Instrument meets MIL PRF 28800F Class 2 requirements & is provided with ISO 17025 traceable calibration certificate.
