Cable Tiger Maxi Duct Rodder

The Cable Tiger Maxi Duct Rodder is ideal for installation of optical fiber telecom cables in buried/underground HDPE ducts up to 300 meters in metro and congested city environments. The Cabletiger maxi duct rodder is also the most widely used equipment in OFC maintenance & where cable blowing method is not feasible.

Cabletiger is a professional heavy duty cable pulling device based on 9mm dia. Composite fiberglass rod. Provided in galvanized metal frame with wheels & integral brake & M12 threaded rod ends at both ends.

Available in 200m and 300m length options.

Usage Illustration


Unlock the Cabletiger brake and check that the guide head is tight

Step 1 : Unlock the Cabletiger brake and check that the guide head is tight.		 Insert the duct rod into the duct

Step 2 : Insert the duct rod into the duct.		 Push the duct rod till it reaches the other end

Step 3 : Push the duct rod till it reaches the other end.		 Rod reaches other open end of duct

Step 4 : Rod reaches other open end of duct.

Loop cable to be pulled into figure of eight for easy pulling

Step 5 : Loop cable to be pulled into figure of eight for easy pulling.		 Insert cable into pullgrip accessory

Step 6 : Insert cable into pullgrip accessory.
Attach pullgrip to duct rodder guide head using the shackle bolt

Step 7 : Attach pullgrip to duct rodder guide head using the shackle bolt.		 Pull duct rod to install OFC cable inside duct

Step 8 : Pull duct rod to install OFC cable inside duct.
