LT-INCLIBUS 360° In-Place Inclinometer

The LT-INCLIBUS 360° In-Place Inclinometer system is a versatile and innovative geotechnical monitoring tool designed to measure local tilting along a line, ensuring alignment, distance, and orientation between measurement points.

The standard segment consists of a 2m fibre glass rod with two waterproof gauges, 1m spaced. The LT-INCLIBUS 360 can also be offered with 1 or 4 gauges installed on a 2m rod segment, per request. It is ideal for installation in boreholes, trenches, concrete masses, or mounted on surface of structures.

360° calibration on three axes allowing installation in any orientation, ensuring high measurement data quality while simplifying setup.

The LT-INCLIBUS 360° uses MEMS accelerometers for high-accuracy inclination measurements and offers complete data transparency with outputs for temperature, voltage, and gravity acceleration.

It's a cost-effective and flexible solution for monitoring embankments, slopes, tunnels, dams, bridges, and other infrastructure projects. The system supports RS485 and Modbus RTU protocols, making it compatible with a variety of loggers.

The INCLIBUS ensures that every gauge provides an individually calibrated high level metrological procedural monitoring over the entire range of 360.

The LT-INCLIBUS 360° In-Place Inclinometer is featured in association with SISGEO Italy, the world leader in Geotechnical & Structural Health Monitoring Instrumentation.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The LT-INCLIBUS 360 system works by utilizing high-precision inclinometer probes that are installed within a casing to detect lateral displacements and deformations in geotechnical structures. The system is designed to monitor both vertical and horizontal ground movements, offering a comprehensive view of soil or rock mass shifts.

As the probes are positioned along the length of the casing, they continuously measure the angle of tilt, detecting even minute variations caused by external forces such as soil pressure or changes in the structural integrity. These angular changes are detected by the embedded sensors in the probes, which convert the tilt data into real-time measurements.

The system is equipped with a data acquisition mechanism that automatically collects and transmits the data, enabling engineers to monitor and analyze ground movement trends over time. This continuous monitoring allows for early detection of potential instability, making the LT-INCLIBUS 360 system crucial for assessing the stability of structures such as tunnels, embankments, retaining walls, and deep excavations.

Typically, the user should select bill of materials based on deployment scenario:

  • LT-Inclibus Probe - A fiberglass rod-based probe with a varying number of gauges (1, 2, or 4 gauges)
  • Data Logger (Compatible with RS485) - Device for storing and processing data from the inclinometer probes such as OMNIAlog, WR-Log wireless node or MIND portable readout.
  • Installation Accessories - Includes mounting brackets, cables, and other necessary installation hardware.

Applications of the LT-Inclibus 360° Inclinometer:

  1. Embankment Monitoring: Detects deformations and stability issues in embankments.
  2. Slope Monitoring: Used for monitoring the movements and stability of unstable slopes.
  3. Tunnelling: Helps in assessing the ground movement and structural deformation during tunnel construction.
  4. Dam Monitoring: Measures tilting and deformation of concrete dams to ensure their stability.
  5. Bridge Monitoring: Tracks the horizontal and vertical movements of bridge structures.
  6. Structural Deformation: Used to detect tilts and shifts in buildings, retaining walls, and other infrastructures.
  7. Landslide Studies: Monitors areas prone to landslides, providing early detection of any slope movement.
  8. Mining: Applied for measuring horizontal movement and deformation in open-pit mines or underground environments.
