The PQI 380 is designed and built to provide quick and accurate readings of density, temperature and indicates the presence of moisture on hot mix asphalt pavements. Unlike nuclear gauges, the PQI 301 takes accurate readings in about three seconds, allowing the test technician plenty of time to run a series of tests.

The PQI is lightweight and easy to transport, calibrate and use. Its electromagnetic field is far safer than devices based on nuclear sources and it costs ten times less to own and operate.
