Comlog 2
The HWM Comlog 2 is a robust GSM/GPRS data logger that remotely monitors flow and pressure, helping to detect leaks, optimize network performance and reduce operational costs with reliable real-time data.
The HWM COMlog 2 is a highly versatile and cost-effective multi-application data logger designed for accurate, reliable, and near real-time monitoring of water and energy consumption. Compatible with any meter or sensor that has a volt-free pulsed output, it uses accumulative pulse counting to convert readings into precise consumption data.
COMlog 2 Built for flexibility which supports GPRS/2G, 4G, LTE-M (Cat-1), and NB-IoT communication options, ensuring dependable data transmission even in remote or low-signal areas. The device comes with an external antenna connection for specialist antennas to further improve connectivity in challenging environments. With a typical 5-year battery life (at 8-hour transmission intervals) and wireless programming capabilities, it significantly reduces maintenance and operational costs.
Data is accessed via HWM Online, a secure multi-utility monitoring platform that allows utilities and departments to track consumption, detect abnormalities, and generate actionable insights from anywhere.
What It Does
- Logs meter pulses from water, energy, or other compatible utility meters.
- Converts raw pulse counts into accurate consumption data.
- Transmits readings at regular intervals for near real-time monitoring.
- Generates alarms for high flow, low flow, or unusual consumption patterns.
- Integrates seamlessly with third-party applications via Datagate API.
How It Helps
- Municipal Water Utilities – Monitor water distribution and detect leaks to reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW).
- Energy Departments – Track power usage for billing verification and efficiency management.
- Smart City Mission Teams – Enable centralized, IoT-based monitoring of multiple utilities.
- Public Health Engineering Departments (PHEDs) – Ensure compliance with supply performance metrics and generate reports for funding.
- Industrial & Commercial Estates – Optimize resource use and detect abnormal consumption to control costs.
- Rural Development Departments – Monitor remote water supply schemes and ensure timely fault detection.
Applications
- Water consumption monitoring in municipal and rural networks.
- Energy usage tracking for public buildings, industries, and commercial establishments.
- Leak detection through abnormal flow alerts.
- Billing verification for bulk water and energy consumers.
- Smart metering integration for AMRUT 2.0 and Smart City projects.
- Remote monitoring of utilities in low-signal rural and industrial areas.
