Stanlay Cable Blowing Machine

The Cable blowing machine comprising of an air box, Cable pusher and Hydraulic Power Pack has been designed to provide an effective and safe method of fiber optic cable installation. The system installs fiber optic cable of 8 – 32 mm overall diameter at up to 90m/min into pre-installed ducts, employing the viscous drag compressed air principle.

The compressed air is fed into the duct via a venturi principle, and the hydraulically powered cable feed system controls the fiber optic cable.

The system comes mounted on a light weight Frame for ease of site maneuverability and is powered by a hydraulic supply system. The unit is supplied with a 1-1/2”BSP for connecting air supply hose (not supplied). The air supply hose should be 25mm (min) bore or more.

The unit is supplied with 2 x hydraulic hoses x 3 meters for connecting between the cable blowing machine and hydraulic power pack (or hydraulic power source).

FAQ

  • Is hydraulic power pack must for use for blowing cables?

    Hydraulic power pack assists blowing of cables for 200-300 m without use of compressor for initial push and compressor are used in conjunction on to achieve longer blowing lengths.

  • What size of cables can be blown and what is the possible productivity?

    A : Stanlay standard cable blowing machine can blow OFC cables of diameter 8-22mm . Cable to be blown in single shot purely depends on Quality of duct laid underground. Incase duct laid is not ziz zag ,up and down and without any obstruction- higher lengths can be blown in a single shot ( Max record is 2500 m/shot) and 28 kms/day whereas if the duct has not been laid well, cable blowing in one shot could even be as low as 100 meters.

  • What size of Compressor to be used?

    Compressor with 12 bar pressure is ideal. Compressor should be fitted with After Cooler. Popular brands of compressors are Atlas Copco, Elgee, Ingersol Rand.

  • What is cable Blowing machine and its use.

    Cable blowing machine is  used for installation of optical fiber cables inside already laid  Ducts . Stanlay machine  Comprises of Pusher Unit and Hydraulic power pack.
